Making Traffic Light Junctions Safer for Everyone

Sentio Core

Running through red lights is never less than dangerous and the consequences are rarely anything but serious. Sentio Core builds on the Sentio Shield technology by adding Red Light enforcement capability, so that it may be usefully deployed at traffic light controlled junctions. Core uses the same advanced 4D radar technology for speed capture during the green phase of the traffic lights, and then detects vehicles transgressing the stopline during the red phase.

Core uses computer vision technology to assess the status of the traffic lights and, in common with all Sentio products, is totally non-invasive and does not require hard wiring into the traffic light controller. This results in ultimate flexibility of deployment and ensures optimally cost-effective installation.

What makes Sentio Core so effective at busy junctions?

It monitors both speeding (even on green and amber) and red light running at one of the most critical points on our roads.

It captures high-quality colour images and even video of any potential offences, ensuring accurate and reliable information.

With its non-invasive design, installation is quicker and causes minimal inconvenience.

It can monitor multiple lanes and even handle complex junction layouts where different lanes have separate light timings.

It provides clear images in all lighting conditions.

  • Red Light, Spot Speed camera and Spot Speed on Green
  • Totally non-invasive
  • Method of Detection – Computer Vision for red light and radar for speed capture
  • Monitors up to 5 lanes in any combination of approaching or receding
  • Weighs less than 10Kg
  • Can be installed on existing street furniture, thereby avoiding large civil engineering costs
  • Flexibility in deployment – can be trailer mounted or set in temporary concrete block foundation and powered by a hydrogen fuel cell or other means
