Helping to Keep Everyone Focused and Safe on Our Roads

Sentio Distracted Driver

We all know how dangerous it is when drivers are distracted by mobile phones, touch-screen controls or aren’t wearing their seatbelts.

Distracted Driver (Sentio DD) camera can detect illegal Mobile Phone Use, or the Non-wearing of Seat Belts by drivers and passengers in the front of the vehicle.

The system is contained within the unit (with external IR illumination, and for up to three lane deployments) and Sentio DD can be mounted on the side of the road rather than via an over lane deployment. This has great advantages for urban situations where the footway space is tight and it’s not possible to install street furniture, as Sentio DD’s lightweight unit can be installed on existing street furniture such as lamp columns.

We can also deploy the camera as an unattended trailer mounted solution, so that temporary enforcement may be swiftly deployed as needed.

What does Sentio DD mean for safer roads?

By identifying mobile phone use while driving, Sentio DD helps to reduce a major cause of accidents.

Detecting drivers and front passengers not wearing seatbelts can help increase compliance with this vital safety measure.

Its side-of-road mounting and lightweight design minimise disruption to our streets.

The ability to use trailer-mounted units allows for rapid deployment where and when it’s most needed.

It captures high-quality colour images, day and night, using discreet infrared (IR) technology.
